This event is a must attend for students interested in leading edge technologies and for professional developers who want to watch and listen to Microsoft Executives via High Definition Live Streaming direct from the US.

Since 1991, the Microsoft Professional Developers Conference (PDC) has been the centre for students, developers and architects to gather and hear about the next generation of Microsoft technologies. This year will be no exception!

In association with NACUE, Cambridge University Entrepreneurs and Microsoft Ltd, seven UK universities are bringing this incredible event to a location near you. The Live streaming of the keynote sessions will be top and tailed with local UK Microsoft staff and NACUE members to help answer any questions and manage the local interactive online Q&A!

The conference keynotes will focus on Client & Devices, Cloud Services, and Frameworks & Tools.  Our local sessions are a great opportunity to engage with like-minded students and developers to learn about thrilling new technology developments.

Cambridge University Entrepreneurs was founded in 1999 by three people. Ten years on, CU Entrepreneurs have evolved to being a key part of the University's ecosystem for supporting and accelerating entrepreneurship and innovation.

CU Entrepreneurs run one of the most successful student-run business creation competitions in the world. Since 1999 we have awarded over £500k in prize money to more than 40 start-ups and have seen many of them develop into successful companies. These companies have contributed greatly to the local region and beyond, producing over 110 full time jobs. Collectively, CUE alumni companies have gone on to secure over £42 million pounds of investment.

Our goal is to promote and nurture entrepreneurship in Cambridge and beyond. However we do this in quite a unique way. Our business creation competition, along with the training, mentoring and networking events in support of it, take you from idea to business in under a year.

We encourage you to get involved. Four ways to get involved with our activities are:

1. Enter the competition

2. Offer training, mentoring or sponsorship

3. Join the committee

4. Attend events

Don't miss your opportunity to join us on this stimulating journey of making enterprise happen.

NACUE

The National Association of College and University Entrepreneurs (NACUE) is a grassroots organisation that supports, connects and represents student enterprise societies and student entrepreneurs across the UK to stimulate university enterprise. Founded by 12 leading enterprise society Presidents in December 2008 and launched in May 2009, NACUE engages over 70 university enterprise societies across the UK, representing in excess of 40,000 entrepreneurial students.

NACUE aims to:

  • support the sustainable development of student enterprise societies and student ventures;
  • inspire, educate and train enterprise society leaders and student entrepreneurs;
  • connect enterprise leaders and student entrepreneurs online and in person; and,
  • advocate for the increased support of student-led enterprise initiatives at individual insititutions and at a national level.

Recognised by Real Business Magazine as one of the primary 'Champions of Entrepreneurial Britain' and winner of the 2009 'SFEDI Enterprise Champion Award', NACUE is a central point of contact for some of the most promising and enterprising students and graduates and some of the most exciting early-stage start-ups in the UK.

By opening communication channels, facilitating the development of new societies, providing cutting-edge national programming and supporting enterprising students and early-stage start-ups engaged with student enterprise societies, NACUE fosters an enabling entrepreneurial ecosystem to stimulate the growth of young entrepreneurs.
